An unofficial fan project
CollegeWars is independent. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any university, athletic program, conference, or the NCAA. School names, cities, and conferences appear here only to identify the fan communities competing on this site. We use no school logos, mascots, or team colors, and every school appears in the same house styling.
If you represent a school and want a listing changed or removed, email collegewarslol@gmail.com and we’ll act on it.
Not gambling
Nothing here depends on the result of any game. You cannot wager, win, or lose anything. There are no prizes, no payouts, no randomness, and no odds. The Fan Poll is bragging rights; a placement is a placement, delivered the moment your bid settles.
Not NIL, not a booster fund
No money paid here goes to any school, athlete, program, or collective, in any form. CollegeWars keeps what it charges, the way any website keeps its advertising revenue. Bidding on a placement supports this site and nothing else.
What money can and can’t do
Money buys visible placement only — a name on a jumbotron, a sideline board — held by whoever has bid the most, until someone bids higher or the week resets Sunday night. It never affects the Fan Poll, the rankings, or any fan count. Those move only when a real person casts a Rally (a free vote). Not a donation. Not an investment. Full auction details →
Payments and refunds
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
- Bids are final. Placement is delivered instantly and held until someone outbids you or the week resets — whichever comes first, and it can be minutes. Being outbid, or the week ending, are not refund situations: that is the auction you are bidding into, and it is stated before you pay.
- Charged twice, or something plainly broke? Email us and we’ll make it right.
Content and conduct
- We reserve the right to refuse or remove any name, message, board, or handle, at any time, for any reason — with no refund where the content broke these rules.
- No slurs, harassment, adult content, political advertising, alcohol marketing aimed at anyone under 21, or anything implying a school endorses you.
- One device, two free Rallies per week (one any time, one during Tailgate Hours — the five hours before that school’s kickoff). Bots, scripts, emulators, and vote farms get removed without notice.
Privacy
No accounts, no sign-up, no email required to Rally. We store a random identifier in your browser so one device gets its two Rallies a week, and we count outbound clicks on sponsor boards. We don’t sell data, and we don’t run third-party ad trackers. Payment details stay with Stripe.
If you bid on a placement, Stripe collects your email to process the payment and passes it to us. We store it only to email you if someone outbids you on that placement, so you get the chance to take it back. That is the only email we send about a bid, we never sell or share the address, and you can have it deleted by writing to collegewarslol@gmail.com.
