House Rules
Two currencies, never mixed. Votes are people and decide everything. Money is placement and decides nothing.
The Fan Poll
people fill the stands
- One free vote per device per week. That is the entire economy of the poll. Your vote puts one more fan in your school's stands and moves it in The CollegeWars 25.
- Tailgate Hours: votes count 2x. For the five hours before a school's kickoff, every vote for that school counts double. Show up before kick, like a real tailgate.
- Weekly reset, Sunday night. Every school's weekly fan count goes back to zero and a fresh week of the poll begins. All-time fan totals keep running forever.
- Money can never buy a vote, a rank, or a tiebreaker. There is no path from a credit card to the poll. None.
Captains & Referrals
recruit loud, earn status
- Bring a new fan to the stands and their vote is theirs alone — one device, one vote, cast by them, counted for whichever school they pick.
- Recruiters earn status, not votes: your recruit count climbs your school's Captain board, and top recruiters wear the Captain title on the school page.
- There are no vote bonuses, multipliers, or kickbacks for recruiting. Ever. A crowd of real people is the whole point.
Hero of the House
one seat on every jumbotron
Each stadium has exactly one Hero seat: your name and a 40-character message on that school's jumbotron, in front of its fans, all week.
- The seat is stealable. It opens at $10. Taking it from the current Hero costs at least 1.5x what they paid, rounded up to the next $5 — so the price of glory only climbs.
- Weekly reset. Sunday night the seat empties with the rest of the week and opens back up at $10.
- The All-Time Hero wall persists. The biggest cumulative Hero in each stadium's history stays on the wall after the weekly seat resets.
- Messages pass a blocklist, and the house may remove any message at any time.
Buys a visible placement on this fan site only. Never affects the Fan Poll. No money goes to any school, athlete, or program. Not a donation. Not an investment.
Sponsor Boards
three boards on every sideline
Every stadium has three sideline boards, built for the local crowd — the wing joint, the barbershop, the bar with the big screens.
- $15 per week, flat. No auctions, no steals. An open board goes to whoever claims it, and it is yours for the week.
- What sponsors get: your business name on a sideline board inside the stadium scene, in front of that school's fans, all week, plus a spot in the stadium's sponsor listing.
- Content rules: no alcohol marketing aimed at anyone under 21, no political ads, and no wording that implies a school endorses you — school names here are factual references only. The house reserves the right to refuse or remove any board.
- Same rule as the Hero seat: a board is visible placement on this fan site only, and it never touches the Fan Poll.
Fair Play
the stands are people
- One device, one vote. No bots, scripts, emulators, vote farms, or device juggling.
- Fraudulent votes are removed without notice, and repeat offenders lose their vote for the season.
- Fan counts are people, never dollars. If a number in the stands ever moved because of money, it would be a bug — and we would treat it like one.
What This Is Not
the fine print, said plainly
- Not affiliated or endorsed. CollegeWars is an independent fan project with no connection to any university, athletic program, conference, or the NCAA. School names identify the fan communities competing here, nothing more.
- Not gambling. Nothing on this site depends on the result of any game. You cannot wager, win, or lose anything here — the poll is bragging rights, and placement is placement.
- Not NIL, not a booster fund. No money paid here goes to any school, athlete, or program, in any form.
- Payments are final. Hero seats get stolen and boards expire — that is the game you are buying into.
Questions about a board, a message, or a removal? The house makes the final call on all content, and the full disclaimer lives in the footer of every page.
